Sharkest
Yes, I was once called the Shark Queen. And yes, I once went diving with blue sharks.
For four years, I ran development and day-to-day project management for National Geographic's annual Sharkfest, working across multiple production companies to manage creative development, budgets, schedules, and approvals.
During that time, Sharkfest grew from a two-hour programming stunt to more than 22 hours of original annual programming, expanding its reach across National Geographic's networks, Disney+, Hulu, ABC, and ESPN.
The experience taught me how to manage a large creative portfolio while maintaining a consistent brand identity. It also showed me how audience insights could inform programming decisions and help the franchise grow year after year.
